The Dan David Prize awards 9 prizes of $300,000 each to outstanding scholars and practitioners researching the human past. Ideal candidates would be those who are engaged in excellent and original research, and who have already made an impact on their field – and are likely to continue to do so.
We’d like to bring to your attention that the call for nominations for the 2027 Dan David Prize are now open.
The Dan David Prize awards 9 prizes of $300,000 each to outstanding scholars and practitioners researching the human past. Ideal candidates would be those who are engaged in excellent and original research, and who have already made an impact on their field – and are likely to continue to do so.
Nominations are now open with a submission deadline of October 13, 2026. The nomination process is straightforward and involves completion of a short online form which can be previewed here. Nominators will also be asked to submit a copy of the nominee’s CV and list of publications or other relevant work. The full call for nominations is attached.
